Happy Eid Mubarak 2015

Happy Eid Mubarak to all muslims.

After fasting for a month during Ramadhan, finally we got celebrate Eid. Seeking for forgiveness, filling our tummy's with lots of ketupats and main dishes - Rendang, Ayam masak merah, Sambal Goreng and Serunding, collecting "green packets" and bonding session with our relatives.

Well, this year, again it's the four of us without papa. Papa's in China and will be back on the 20th i hope. But that will depends if they're gonna give him the flight availability.

Woke up, feeling so tired.

My legs were still aching and i totally regretted wearing my Steve Madden heels.

I swear i was struggling with the pain and the heels whenever i go up or walking down the stairs. I ended up walking back home and driving with bare footed lol .

We did not really went to much houses.

I think it's only less than 10 hours for our first day of Eid.

Everyone was like talking about my Barcelona trip that happened last weekend.

"You are so brave to travel alone"

"Aren't you scared?"

"I salute you"

"Did you managed to meet the players?"

"Where is my sourvenir?"

That was the common questions being asked.

One of my uncle nagged, "You passed your driving license, and you didn't even tell me, and the next thing i knew, was that you went to Barcelona alone... *continue nagging* Hahaha.

I had a great time tho on the first day of raya, but the only tiring thing is that, i have to deal with my heels plus have to force myself eating at every houses that we went. It was all the same main dishes but with different taste of course.

Second day is gonna be tiring as well, but oh wells, we're only celebrating this once a year..

x adios.

First Singaporean Girl.

Warning: You will regret for not viewing this post!

This is like, "i don't know how many times i've made a new blog."

First of all, i would like to make my first post of this current blog of mine to be very meaningful, interesting plus attractive so that more of you, readers, will actually make time to read through my blog and have the same excitement that i had gone through or experienced last weekend and you may share it with your friends or even the media. Opportunities like this do exist (make it viral)

Majority has also been wondering how the hell i got this amazing opportunity. Let's not waste time but to jump to the next paragraph. So here it goes..

As you can see from the picture above, yes, that is me sitting at Camp Nou Stadium pitch facing backward. Only certain number of people will have the chance to get that shot, i assume.

Apparently, for those who have no idea what's this post is going to be about, I actually spent my last weekend in Barcelona from 10 July to 12 July 2015, it's not just a normal vacation but it was indeed beyond amazing. Ok, you guys will be like, "Blabla, it's only 3 days in Barcelona.. I've already went there.. Showing off" so on and on..

But Before i start sharing my story about last weekend, i have a confession to make..

I am not the girl who was born with a football lifestyle or a big-big fan of football. I used to hate football so much but i only started realizing that i am into football when i was 15 going to 16. I don't play but i watch because if i play, i will ended up kicking the wrong ball.

It all started when a good friend of mine, Salam, send me a text message on Whatsapp, telling me about this particular competition that was happening. I wasn't sure about joining it because i felt like there was no hope for me to join and to compete with the rest of the participants from around the world that has already participated. Their photos were all up to standard and it made my self-esteem dropped very low. But i've learnt in life that i should not waste any opportunity that was right in front of me.

One of the partnership from Fc Barcelona, Beko, created this campaign and turned it into a competition. The Beko Home2CampNou campaign were asking participants from all over the globe to recreate their home made photo from 6 shots on the campaign website.
and we have to upload it on Instagram with a hashtag - #Home2CampNou as well as tagged @Beko. You can check all of the other winners photo by searching that Hashtag.

It took me almost a day to think and decide, so i concluded that i should just do it no matter what happens, i would just have to try my luck, even my mum asked me to just try and joined for the sake of fun. But i was feeling so stuck for a moment because i needed to use my creativity as well as to think out of the box. I did asked my mum for help, to drive me all the way to Fullerton Bay, Merlion where i felt like that's where people recognize that was where my home was. The sudden thought of taking a shot in front of  the Merlion was just a great idea and yes, below was my shot for #Home2CampNou..

I did not expected the ball to be in line with the water. My mum took a really good shot.

The next thing i did after taking that shot, was to quickly upload it on Instagram because it was few days away from the deadline. All of my followers did not know what was going on or should i say not many singaporeans do know about this campaign. But seriously, Salam, i really have to thank you for telling me about this but at the same time, he shouldn't have been so stubborn about not joining this. I really got no other words to express about how blessed i was when Beko commented on my photo..

I received that comment right after i did my 'Terawih' prayers. I had tears of joy when i went to see the winners page with my own eyes. I couldn't believe it. It was impossible. Because out of 1000++ posts of participants, i was one of the 22 winners that had the opportunity to experience this.

Ok. Before i get to the excitement part of the trip, i just had to share with you guys what had happened.

The night that i won the campaign competition, my dad wasn't in Singapore. He was back right after the day of announcing the winners. I was having a lot of negative thoughts running through my mind before he came back. My mum was already speechless so was my siblings.

But in order for me to have the "GREEN LIGHT" to go and travel all the way to Barcelona alone, i had to go through my dad first before replying 'YES' to the company that sponsored the 22 of us, Beko.

Now, that's when i had to lose my hope for the second time, after knowing that i had won.

My dad is very strict and unsupportive when it comes to his daughter hanging out late at night, going back home late at night, and he is definitely not a big fan of football. I am 19 years old, and yes, my parents are still worried about me.

Knowing my dad throughout my whole life, i doubted that he was going to say "Sorry, no, i cannot let you go alone, anything might happened to you."

On that one particular night, i really had no other choice but to open it up to him and tell him that i had actually won this big opportunity that people were dying to go for.

So this was my conversation with him..

Dad: Any stories to share with me tonight?

Me: Urm, yes..

Dad: What is  it?

Me: I actually won a competition that i've joined. And the sponsor commented on my photo that i uploaded, telling me that i am one of the 22 winners that was chosen ..

Dad: Where's the picture?

Me: *Showed him*

My brother was sitting beside me, feeling nervous.

Dad: *He looked surprised and amazed*

My heart was pounding very fast.

Dad: So what is the big prize?

Me: Travel 3 Days to Barcelona, get to experience the life of FCB Players, get to go to their training ground for training and have a match at Camp Nou Stadium on the very last day.. Flight and meal are included.

Dad: Ok. But make sure when you are there, you take good care of yourself, do not do stupid stuffs.

Me: *Speechless*

I tried to summarize the conversation but that's how it went.. My dad responded really simple and was totally unexpected. I mean, he never even let me travel to Malaysia by myself before or with my friends. He never let me to stay out in the middle of the night before. It was unbelievable. It got me really speechless. I sense that, it was because of TRUST and HONESTY that he was looking for.

Hence, after getting both YES's from Beko and my parents, it was time for me to travel alone for the first time ever, with 11 hours of flight from Singapore to Istanbul, 3 hours of Transit and 3 hours of flight from Istanbul to Barcelona..

Let the journey of being a FC Barcelona player for 3 days begins..

This was my first time taking Turkish Airlines (09 July 2015)

I'll share more on next post !

Below is the video that i've made and combined it all into 1.

Below are some photos that i've uploaded on my Instagram - @Kxnv_ , with a hashtag #Home2CampNou. Do check it out.

Thank you, Beko, for giving all 22 of us this great opportunity to be here and have a chance to get this a unforgettable experiences. Best campaign that has ever been organised for FC Barcelona fans. 3 Days was definitely not enough for all of us to be together as one, as a team. We were all so bonded instantly and it was so saddening that it was time for most of us to leave and continue with our daily routine back in our country.
